Gorgeous Handcrafted Rectangular Necklace in cool blue glass with sunsplash design by master artisan Jessica Palacio in Chile

Glass 5.7 x 2.2 cm (2.25" x.85")  approx with chamois leather lace-tie

Two pieces of glass are cut. One piece is painted with special enamel pigments, following a design drawn by Jessica and her sister Ana Maria. A reactive product CMC reacts with the temperature of the kiln to produce bubbles between the two layers of glass glued together. The kiln is heated to 850°C - 900°C.  The pieces are left in the kiln for between 30 minutes to one hour. Once they have cooled the glass products are coated with a reinforcing agent and voila! A beautiful piece of jewellery.
